Him: Moon is a Significator of Mental Health. Its placement, movement and combination with other planets have a powerful effect on our moods, emotions, intelligence and cognitive health. We will be discussing our collective experience of 60+ years of using Jyotish as a tool for health and healing. Ayurveda acknowledges it as Daiva Vyapashraya Chikitsa that includes using Mantra, Meditation, Gems, Yagayas and various rituals to build Patience & Resilience during challenging times.
Her: The Moon represents the mind in Vedic parlance. Jyotiṣa perceives the Moon as mānasa, the mind, as rayi, the nourishment in blood, as rudhira, the blood itself, and the body as created from the blood. The embodiment of water, swinging the mind in the extremities of high and low tide, subject to the slightest disturbance, it changes its nature, as it moves through the 30 tithis, waxing and waning – the Moon’s gradual ebb and flow between light and darkness, has an iron like grip on the human mind and life. We will examine some of the markers which disturbs the fragile fabric of human emotion.
