CAAM Mission

The California Association of Ayurvedic Medicine, while embodying and modeling the principles of Ayurveda, exists to serve humankind through:

Supporting the advancement of Ayurveda as an independent and respected profession;
Safeguarding the right to practice Ayurveda thru legislation;
Ensuring the integrity of Ayurveda as a system of healing that honors the connection between body, mind, and spirit;
Establishing, maintaining, and supporting standards of education for schools of Ayurvedic Medicine;
Establishing, maintaining, and supporting standards of quality and scope of practice for recognized practitioners of Ayurvedic Medicine;
Certifying and accrediting schools of Ayurvedic Medicine;
Certifying practitioners of Ayurvedic Medicine;
Promoting CAAM Certified Schools and Practitioners; and
Educating our communities about what Ayurveda is, and what makes it a unique, holistic, and comprehensive health care system.
